Ian and I are proud owners of a Olympic Labradoodle puppy, Quinn Oliver McSwienton, born October 26, 2005, and we just cannot say enough about him. But more importantly, we can’t say enough about his breeder, Shari O’Quinn. If your goal with this litter was to have the new owners feel like they were bringing home not just a puppy, but a new family member, consider that goal met!
As you know, we live way across the country from you in Connecticut. I am certain that if I had searched more, we could have found a reputable breeder on the East Coast. After reviewing your website with all its information as well as your daily journal, and especially after receiving your first e-mails with information about Labradoodles, I felt so comfortable and assured that we had to have an Olympic Labradoodle. Your assistance in making certain Quinn made it here safe and sound was outstanding.
Quinn is an awesome puppy. He is so socialized to people, particularly children, noises, strange things, etc. After we had him, our friends said, oh, does he cry through the night? But from the very first night he was great, and I know that is due in large part to how secure he felt when he was first born and until he left Washington State. Our vet is very impressed with his health and temperament at such a young age. When we went to our local pet store with our list of things to buy before Quinn arrived, the owner was impressed with the thoroughness and the knowledge that we had obtained from you. And his “puppy book” is terrific!! (Our vet was astounded that it even mentioned he was a “breech” birth!)
Moreover, your continued support and prompt and thorough replies to ALL of our many, many questions and concerns is extraordinary. Even my sister doesn’t reply as quickly as you do!!!
Please feel free to use this letter of recommendation as you want, either with other breeders or with prospective buyers of future litters. I promise you I will continue to keep you updated on “The Adventures of Quinn” with e-mails and pictures. Could there be another Olympic Labradoodle puppy in our future???

I am writing to recommend Shari and Olympic Labradoodles. Our decision to bring a puppy into our family was not one taken lightly. We did our research thoroughly, and had high expectations for getting a Labradoodle. Little did we think that, not only would our expectations be met, but completely surpassed in going with Shari as a breeder.

Shari's commitment to bringing this breed to America based on the research and success generated from Australia, is coupled with her knowledge of dog training, and commitment to making happy, successful new families. She genuinely cares about each of her dogs, each puppy and each family. We had settled on only a Multi-generational Australian Labradoodle. We researched many web-sites, near and far, and once we read about Shari and her knowledge, programs of breeding and raising puppies, and theories for placing them with families we knew we were in the right place. She is in Washington State, we are in Georgia, but it didn't matter; there was no idea of going with another breeder.

I also must point out that the Puppy training camps Shari does have made our transitions to becoming a new family much easier than we ever anticipated. At 7 months old, we are still waiting for our Mr. Darcy to go through his naughty puppy stages. Even after a plane flight across the country, he was as happy as he could be. From the start, he settled right in, and has been nothing but a complete treasure. The socializations Shari worked on with him have contributed to a high success rate with house training, being around other people both inside and outside the home, being very well-behaved on walks and out in public places, and in learning his commands, both basic and more advanced. And he even loves the vacuum cleaner! Part of this I lay squarely at Shari's brilliant and caring program, part of it at her recommended reading and training program we use at home, and with her on-going support and contact. I would say that nearly everyone of our close friends and neighbors have dogs, and they have been mightily impressed with Mr. Darcy's progress and watching him grow and learn. We have recommended Shari to everyone we know who is considering getting a puppy. Mr. Darcy speaks for himself, and is a great recommendation. He is the sweetest, most affectionate, fun, playful, silliest, sweetest and most well-behaved puppy ever, but still protective (which by the way, is exactly what we asked for). We give our thanks every day for him, and for being led to Shari O'Quinn.

In conclusion, our family would give Shari and Olympic Labradoodles the highest possible recommendation. She has a rare combination of commitment, knowledge and caring. I am sure that she would be an asset to any organization.

Our family contacted Olympic Labradoodles and Shari O’Quinn in the fall of 2005 to enquire about a Labradoodle puppy for our family. We received a very friendly response, with a very comprehensive application form and screening for evaluation of us as puppy owners.
After having both visited Olympic Labradoodles and met the dogs in a dog park, we have been very impressed with Shari O’Quinn. She takes very good care of her dogs, is always calm and her facility and home is very well suited to dogs and puppies.
What sets Shari and Olympic Labradoodle apart, is her friendliness and great communication and helpfulness. No question goes unanswered. She clearly wants her puppies and families to be a very good match, and is willing to help and train both.
When we picked up little gorgeous Melanie, 10 weeks old, she was already well on her way to being potty trained, she slept through the night and was clearly a happy and bright little dog. Unfortunately, because of severe allergies and asthma in our family we had to give little Melanie back after only a short time.
Our mutual disappointment didn’t stop Shari from being professional and helpful when we had to give Melanie back. The contractual refund was promptly received.
It is very easy for our family to recommend Olympic Labradoodles and Shari O’Quinn to anyone looking for Labradoodle puppies, or just looking for advice or training. She is clearly a very skilled and personable and it is easy to see her dogs love her too!

We purchased a chocolate boy from her, Chocolate Mousse. Our experience throughout the entire process was wonderful. Shari raises her litters inside her home, alongside her people family, with an emphasis on
socialization. As a result the puppies are all very well socialized to people, including children, as well as other dogs. The puppies experience all variety of household noises and handling before going to their new families. She also spend time with each of the new families going through puppy tips, training information and provided a puppy pack complete with leash, toys, training books, and individualized document binders.
Mousse is calm, intelligent, and very easy going. He fit into our family perfectly. We are so happy that we did our breed and breeder research before getting a puppy, and ended up finding Shari.

We could not be happier with our puppy. His temperament is dream-like. It is as if you hand selected the very best of the Lab and the Poodle temperaments. He is smart, calm, self-confident, easy-going and easy to potty-train. And CUTE! He is a showstopper. I really feel one could not ask for more in a dog.

I have recently purchased the most "wonderful" puppy in the universe, a Labradoodle named Maka.

Shari answered the many questions I had before purchasing the puppy and then kept me informed after the birth until we had her transported to us in Canada at the age of 5 months. We left the puppy with Shari for additional training camps and received a well mannered, house broken puppy.

I would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding Olympic Labradoodles.

Text Box: Dear Prospective Olympic Labradoodle Owner,
Words cannot really express how much our lives have changed since Dugan entered our lives. I spent countless hours researching breeds for temperament and minimal shedding, as we have family members with multiple allergies and asthma. Our new member of our family has added an element of joy and love in our lives that is very difficult to fathom not having now.
To no surprise to us, Dugan does not shed, nor do we have any difficulties with matting; we just brush him every 3-4 days. Grooming is a cinch, all because of Shari’s training and work with Dugan before we acquired him. I am able to do all of his grooming (Shari was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time showing me some of the main aspects of grooming) because Dugan is EXTREMELY tolerant to everything!!!
Our situation is a bit unique in that we did not take ownership of Dugan until almost 5 months old. We first met him around 9 weeks, and then we waited for 2 + months to take him home due to my husband’s work schedule. In the meantime, we visited him whenever possible, and Dugan attended two training camps. Now that we have him in our home with a 6 year old and 8 year old, we would not do it any other way, the transition to dog ownership has been a breeze!!! He is astounding!!! He sits, lays down, stays, shakes, rolls over, fetches, touches nose to hand when asked, settles like a pro, is loose leash trained, heels, goes potty on command, waits at all crosswalks and doorways = no bolting, etc…etc…, I even taught him how to “high-five” in less than a day! We believe all of the early training and neural stimuli that Shari provided, set the foundation to such an easily trainable and socialized dog.
We are constantly stopped by people (some employees have even left their place of work to see our dog when we were out in front of stores, etc….) to inquire about Dugan’s breed based upon his looks, but most impressive, is their amazement at his temperament for such a young dog. He sits politely for everyone, does not lunge on his leash, and does not jump up at all. We are so proud of him; he truly wins the hearts of everyone who meets him!!! We live in a very condensed “urban village” and he sees people and other dogs multiple times per day; it’s truly a blessing to have such a socialized and well-behaved dog in public!
The care-package, binder, and personalized gift bag Shari gives to each new owner, shows that Shari does not just sell a “dog”, but a true gift from the heart! We are very grateful to Shari for her utmost dedication and love that she puts in to each dog, as evidenced by all of the happy owners of an “Olympic Labradoodle” that we have met!
